Ear, nose and throat doctor
An ear, nose, and throat (ENT) doctor, or otorhinolaryngologist, is a physician who diagnoses and treats ear, nose, and throat conditions in adults, children, and infants. You may consider visiting an ENT specialist for the following concerns:
- Problems with nasal breathing, such as persistent nasal congestion or frequent nosebleeds.
- Suspected acute or chronic ENT conditions.
- Consultation for the removal of tonsils or adenoids.
- Breathing issues during sleep, such as due to snoring.
During the appointment, the ENT specialist conducts a thorough examination, assesses symptoms and concerns, and, if necessary, decides on additional tests to determine the best diagnosis and treatment plan.
We welcome children of all ages from birth for specialist appointments. In our day surgery unit at Tallinn Specialist Medical Center, we perform surgeries for children from the age of 3.
A referral is required for an ENT appointment under the Estonian Health Insurance Fund.
Without a referral, it is possible to book a private appointment or start with a paid consultation with a family nurse or general practitioner, who will assess initial complaints and, if needed, issue a referral.
